Hands-on Exploration
We provide many hands-on activities within each classroom area. The toddler has the freedom to choose the activities to explore throughout the morning. Each material is engaging, developmentally appropriate while nurturing the toddler's natural curiosity and creativity.

Working Toward Independence
Toddlers have a desire to accomplish tasks "by themselves". With time, patience and many opportunities; toddlers will gain independence in the classroom. Some independent activities include: wiping own nose, hand washing, changing own clothes,
cleaning an activity when finished and wiping a spill with a towel.

The shelves are low and eye level with the toddler. Activities are easily accessible. Children can work at toddler sized tables and chairs or work on large, soft rugs.

Supportive and active Educators
The guides in the young children's program are active and
enthusiastic. They support the development of the child through many meaningful opportunities. They encourage independence through constructive guidance. They give so much love to our young students and give their class joyful experiences daily.

Freedom of Movement
Toddlers are given many opportunities throughout the day to practice physical movement activities; inside and outside of the classroom. During this stage of growing muscles and mind, the guides provide many movement opportunities in order to strengthen gross and fine motor skills.
